The 70 damage over 10 seconds is not that impressive. My punishing shot deals up to 100 damage in a split second if used at the right time.
Each pip is 2 life per second.

Ill use pin down as my snare. Although not as spamable as crippling you can basically keep 1 warrior crippled the whole game. Also helps out if the target starts to run away out of the warriors reach. And I still get to keep my punishing shot and only need to invest into 2 attribute bars instead of 3 or 4

Most annoying Comp Arena Ranger EVER: Crippling Shot {e}, Hunters Shot, Apply Poison, Dodge, Storm Chaser, whatever else you want. Cripple a warrior to piss him off, he limps toward you very predictably and you hit him with hunters shot. Now he's bleeding, crippled, and still pissed off. Dodge away for a little then apply poison. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Loads of fun.

Having a guy with incendiary arrows on you is very annoying as a monk, especially sicne he needs no skill to interrupt you he just attacks like a buffoon and hopes for the best - but you are basically relegated to fast cast spells even so. But its only up part of the time which makes it totally manageable.

The first time I saw apply poison + crippling shot was in gvg, I was like "Damn that combo owns"

i did some testing on cripple + ap. the cripple inflicts first then the poison covers. they will have to use a remove all conditions to get cripple off of you.
